Curated by Luca Beatrice, the exhibition “Pop, Yesterday and Now” presents equally important works of yesterday and today.
It starts with Marilyn by Andy Warhol, passing to the works of Tom Wesselmann, Robert Indiana, and, directly from England, Allen Jones, from Paris Niki de Saint Phalle, arriving in the end to Italy with the works of intense artists imbued by Existentialism such as Mario Schifano, Franco Angeli and Tano Festa.
From the 1980s works by David Salle, Donald Baechler, Peter Halley, Tony Oursler are displayed, up to Marc Quinn and Julian Opie. From Italy comes the irony of two authentic inventors of a contemporary use of ceramics, with their covers of famous works: Bertozzi & Casoni.
