From 16th October 2024 to 3rd March 2025 The Fondation Louis Vuitton will host "Pop Forever, Tom Wesselmann &...", an exhibition dedicated to Pop Art, one of the most important artistic movements from the 1960s onwards. In Paris, 150 paintings, installations and other works by Wesselmann, considered one of the founding members of this movement, will be exhibited.
In addition to these 70 works by 35 artists of different generations and nationalities, who share a common sensitivity for Pop, from its roots to its contemporary manifestations, will be on show. Among these Andy Warhol, but also Jeff Koons, Marcel Duchamp, Derrick Adams, Jasper Johns, Yayoi Kusama and Roy Lichtenstein.
According to curators Dieter Buchhart and Anna Karina Hofbauer, “Pop Forever, Tom Wesselmann &…” will help contextualize Wesselmann’s work within art history and offer fascinating perspectives on Pop Art, past, present and even future.
